COVID19-042– April 24,  2020

Dear Patients,

I cannot believe it is Friday already! We are all coming to understand that there is a delicate balance of re-opening the state and country while minimizing the potential for a re-emergence of infection. Remember, the virus will persist, there will still be cases, but our health system has prepared itself to absorb those cases without being overrun. With a continuation of distancing, minimizing social gatherings, face masks and excellent hygiene, we will progressively see an incremental blossoming of activity. When? TBA.

I guess many of you have figured out that I like to read. Mitch Albom wrote The Next Person you meet in Heaven. I enjoyed it and found it full of wisdom. There was one quote in particular that I found especially meaningful. "You lose something every day you live ... Sometimes it's as tiny as the breath you just expelled, sometimes it's so big you think you won't survive it." I paused to read that quote over and over again. This is life; it is my life, and probably, it is your life too. We go forward. And with that thought in mind, make today a great day!

Reach out. Stay connected. Stay home. Save lives.

The power of one. Be well. Feel free to forward this on: spread the word, not the virus.
